We have learned that, if we truly want to improve simulation experiences, we need to ask students to candidly share their thoughts and suggestions. We do this by saying, ‘‘Wewantthis simulation to be the best learning simulation it can be. Please help us make it better. We want to hear two things from you: What worked and should be kept for future simulations? And, what changes would make this simulation better?’’ We ask each student to respond. As the student shares, we clarify and seek additional feedback. Doing this simple activity has improved our simulations dramatically.
